Elephants and Asses

alright I don't want to sound biased or prejudiced against any
party. And as for that matter I don't want any outspoken mouthpieces to
feel excluded but for the sake of my apathy and the health of my hands
I'm only going to tackle this topic from two vantage points.
Republican and democrat, seeing as how they for the greater portion
own the messes this country now finds itself stewing in.
for a long time this country has waged a war between parties. It
wasn't always the republicans and the democrats. There we're the Whigs
in our countries early years. We have the independents the green party
and everything in between so insignificantly supported I dare not
mention it for fear of tainting myself with their failures. The views
that These parties have so energetically advocated have changed
dramatically over the years. We talk about republicans and democrats
when really we should be talking of liberals and conservatives seeing
as how both parties have created the Benedict Arnold effect in
constantly switching ends of the spectrum.
I wake up every morning nearly expecting the current regime of
democracy to state that abortion is wrong, that our troops need more
support, and that god is a damn good guy after all. And on the flip
side of that I nearly expect the opposing side to claim utter
blasphemy. I wouldn't even be surprised to get up one fine morning,
turn on the television set only to hear of Nancy Polosies and John
McCain's secret life of affairs and sodomy despite their differences in
the senate. Although I don't truly see the decrepifying McCain and yo yo
stringing Polosie actually getting it on, it is hard to look at the
senate and not begin to see the similarities to life in high school.
seriously, do u remember watching Billy and Susan fighting in the
hall. Wasn't it ridiculous. They fought about all sorts of things
let's say this time Billy came to school a little grumpy cause he
didn't sleep so well and Susan interpreted that to mean he was pissed
off at her when in actuality he wasn't. So as she tickled the
splinter so to speak Billy got a little sarcastic and Susan in
response got offended and offensive. Next thing we know they are
shouting absurd claims such as u slurp your soup, and your on the rag.
These completely childish and invalid points all made in trying to
prove the other wrong about..... Well something or other. Soon the
argument turns to an enchanting game of devils advocate. Saying things
only because it's the opposite of what the other said. Such as Billy
accusing, "why did u come ro pick a fight with me." and Susan replies
she didn't then Billy adds well maybe I did then Susan's friend Beth
asks him why he came ro pick a fight and he replies, "I didn't!" do
you see how absurd that is.
we chide our youth for being so obviously ignorant to all that is
good and right in this world yet we ourselves elect the very few
morons who continue with those habits until they die of the heart
attack caused by to much argument and alcohol. Two things you should
never mix yet for one reason or another our country is led by that
pattern. Did u ever try to get out of a ticket while drunk? Or explain
to your parents where u were after one hell of a party? Didn't work
out so well did it now try to imagine negotiating with terrorists,
amending the constitution, and maintaining the economy in that same
state. It doesn't work out to well does it!
in these current economic hard times we have found strength in the
words of our not so fearless leaders telling us of the money they have
taken from wall street. From banks. From big business and They have
given it back to the people. After all when the country is struggling
financially why should they be pocketing such large sums. Well why on
earth shouldn't that apply to Washington as well. Our senators, reps,
cabinet members and presidents both current and former make more money
in one year than much of America will make in their lifetime. I'm not
saying they should give America that money. But shouldn't it be used
to teach America how to fish? I would be willing to bet the very balls
I rely on for a future family, that if this country was run by
volunteers rather than self seeking business men then the  true
problems within this great place would be considered and resolved in
ways that much better suite the well-being of all those who reside
within the boundaries of the united states.
sure those who are in office now have a responsibility. A
responsibility to sober up in more ways than one. To pit aside
childish arguments. To look past the size of their wallet so on and so
forth. But we as a people have a greater responsibility to keep
dingleberrys like that working on road clean up crews where many of
them belong rather than running our country.
we as a people who have been given the responsibility to choose
those spokespeople who will best help our country achieve it's goals
have failed recently to do so. And we have blamed our crooked
politicians we have blamed the lobbyists. Well open your eyes wake up
America it's your damn fault. We spend millions and billions of
dollars a year paying our leaders to feed us a comforting eulogy as we
slide into the same crypt that holds Rome, Egypt, Persia, and every
other great civilization that has failed to survive the trial of time.
And for what, to save a dolphin? To help other countries? Screw all
that. Screw outlying idealism. It is absolutely vanity to continue to
mortar in bricks on top of a wall that is crumbling at it's base.
Those of you who don't believe me have obviously never been off your
ass long enough to build a freaking wall! Screw leading the world at
this point. A very wise man once said that it is impossible for a man
to help others when he can't help himself. Another paradigm says that
the blind can't lead the blind. We have elected time and time again,
men and women who believe all they must do is talk. Flattery moves the
world, but only sincerity makes it go around. So please, America, open
the eyes you were blessed to have and take hold of every good thing
that you own claim to. It's become obvious that those things will not
be handed to you by Washington's sentinels. So take them. They are your
birthright as an American citizen. It is your innate undeniable
responsibility to do so.
The time where we allow the "government" to dictate our priorities
and conscience is past. The time that allow the elephants and asses to
lead us by the collar is gone. It is time for action. Time for trial.
Time for America to be led by Americans. By patriots. The men and
women who are willing to lay down their lives for the preservation of
the constitution, which is the foundation to our wall.
this isn't written for the rich or the poor. I didn't intend this
for the citizen or the politician. I wrote this for Americans and for
America! If you claim your citizenship, earn it! If you claim your
rights, take them! If you, American, claim patriotism, prove it! It is
time. I know where I stand. Where, my fellow Americans, do you stand?

1 comment:

  1. Interesting point of view, and yet it begs a question: did you vote in the last election? Not even general election, not even state election, but the election to put people who run your local schools in office... If you did, then your statements have merit. If you did not, then what makes you different then the persons at the top of the government with your flattery of words and wisdom but with no action to support?
I'm not one to point fingers as there have been times I didn't vote. But to this day, I can count the times I didn't vote on one hand. The privilege to speak out to this nation's leaders is not one that I take lightly. My only problem is that with the current political hierarchy, and how votes are tallied for or against someone, does my vote really count? It seems that the only people who are listening are the very people I car pool with, live with or communicate with on a daily basis. Outside of my relatively small circle, my opinion hasn't seemed to matter.
So how do you propose to change that? How can one man's voice and opinion begin to matter again? How can Americans really unite behind the constitution again? There would have to be an almost complete revolution all over again. A replay of the war for independence with a hope that America learns this time not to follow the same path of lunatics with pretty tongues.
I'm interested to hear your solutions. Not just your rants and raves, but your solutions. Speak on American, I'm listening.
